Four reasons content never gets done

The website speaks German only

Romandy and Ticino together are a third of the country. People searching there do not find you.

Two hundred products, four times over

A range in four languages is not an afternoon's work. That, not the technology, is where multilingualism fails.

The description is missing

Products sit in the shop with a name and a price, and below that it is empty. The text is what sells them.

The languages drift apart

German has the new price, French still has the old one. After two years nobody trusts the second language.

What we take on

Six jobs that otherwise never get done

Translation into three languages

From the German original into English, French and Italian. A language set is always all three, so no gap opens up.

Product texts that sell

From your notes on material, origin and use comes a text that explains rather than lists.

In your form of address

Formal or familiar, matter-of-fact or warm, Swiss spelling without the eszett. We set the rules once and hold to them.

Findable in every language

Title, description and subheadings are written per language, not carried over from the German.

Every sentence read against

The draft comes from the model, the sign-off from a person. Technical terms, prices and proper names we check individually.

Loaded in directly

The texts land in your website, not in a spreadsheet somebody then has to paste from.

How we work

From raw material to a signed-off page

What we do

  1. 1

    Collect the material

Your existing texts, your product details and two or three examples of how you want to sound.

  2. 2

    Produce the draft

The model writes against your tone rules and your glossary, not against the average of the internet.

  3. 3

    Read it against

Sentence by sentence, with particular attention to numbers, technical terms and proper names. Whatever is off gets rewritten.

What you do

  1. 1

    Sign off

You read the German version and say what should sound different. The other languages follow.

  2. 2

    Publish

We load the approved texts in. You check the page, not a table.

  3. 3

    Add later

New products follow in small batches afterwards, charged by effort.

The review is not the follow-up, it is the work. A model does not hit a brand's tone by itself, confuses technical terms and writes an eszett where none belongs. That is what you are paying for here — the translation itself now costs almost nothing.

What it costs

Banded by volume, per language set from the German original

Estimate CHF 490excl. VAT

Up to 50 texts

The typical website: home, services, about, contact and a handful of subpages.

Per language set, one-off.

Estimate CHF 990excl. VAT

Up to 200 texts

A small shop or a website with a blog: the range, category texts and the pages around them.

Per language set, one-off.

Estimate CHF 1'900excl. VAT

From 200 texts

Larger ranges. From here we look at the list and name a fixed price rather than banding further.

Guide price. The exact figure follows once we have seen the list.

Estimate CHF 150 / hexcl. VAT

Ongoing additions

New products and revised texts after the first go-live, in small batches.

By effort, at the usual hourly rate.

A language set is English, French and Italian together. A text means a product description or a page section; short fields such as titles and keywords are not counted individually.
